Brandon Roy (Washington) has been selected for the All Star Game for the third time. Roy is without a doubt the best Pac10Pro in the NBA right now. He is the leader of the Blazers and is garnering league wide respect due to his production on the court.
Although he is the lone Pac10Pro to make the All Star Game, the future looks bright...
There are six Pac10Pros named to the Rookie Challenge. Taj Gibson (USC) and James Harden (Arizona State) will be on the rookie squad. While Brook Lopez (Stanford), Kevin Love (UCLA), O.J. Mayo (USC), and Russell Westbrook (UCLA) will be on the sophmore team.
In the Slam Dunk competition, Nate Robinson (Washington) will try and defend his title from last year. And DeMar DeRozan (USC) will be in a dunk-off at the halftime of the Rookie Challenge with Eric Gordon of the Clippers to win a spot in the dunk competition.
The cometitors for the remainging events have yet to be named. We will let you know if any more Pac10Pros will be on display for All Star Weekend.
